Join us to watch “Pray the Devil Back to Hell,” which chronicles the remarkable story of the courageous Liberian women who came together to end a bloody civil war and bring peace to their shattered country. Given that two of the Nobel Peace Prize laureates in 2011, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Leymah Gbowee, were Liberian women, it is timely to learn more about the struggles of thousands of women — ordinary mothers, grandmothers, aunts and daughters, both Christian and Muslim — who came together to pray for peace and staged a silent protest outside of the Presidential Palace. This movie depicts the roles of the two Nobel laureates in Liberia’s peace movement.
